Residential Purchase & Sale Agreements (MA:RE89R14/NH E2196)
The students will learn how to better understand the terms and clauses contained within a purchase and sales contract. We discuss the many contingency clauses typically and atypically found in a purchase contract such as a contingency for financing, home inspection, septic, underground contamination, radon, well water, lead paint, CLUE etc.
Anti Trust (MA: RE11RC07/NH: E1525)
The student will learn the history of Anti-Trust laws from the 1800’s to today. They will be taught what not to say and how to stay out of serious trouble with the law. They will learn about boycotting, price fixing, tying. They will also learn how easy it is to be liable under Anti-trust law and how to avoid serious penalties.
Fair Housing (MA: RE19RC12/NH: E045)
In 2013, a real estate agent was sued for over $61,000 for asking a simple question: “Where are you from?” This course provides an overview and history of the Fair Housing statute, which prohibits all types of discrimination in the selling, renting or leasing of housing accommodations, commercial space or land intended for use as such. Learn who the protected classes are, insurance coverage options, what you can and cannot say and how to avoid serious liability.
