On Tuesday, March 21, 2017, members of NEAR, the Newburyport Association of REALTORS®, and the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® addressed State Senators at the northern region session of Commonwealth Conversations, an open forum coordinated by the local legislators in an ongoing effort to make government more responsive and accessible to constituents. REALTORS® were there to inform legislators about issues related to housing including a first time home buyers savings account, taxes, and broadband internet access.
Quoted in The Lowell Sun, NEAR Director and former City of Lawrence Mayor Mike Sullivan said, "Our message is to help with the affordability of housing." | Watch video
