Continuing Education

The Massachusetts Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons requires all licensed real estate agents in the Commonwealth to complete 12 hours of continuing education before renewing their license as “active,” which is necessary to continue working. If the 12-hour requirement is not met by the renewal deadline, the Board must, by law, renew the license as “inactive.” The Northeast Association of Realtors® (NEAR) and the Massachusetts Association of Realtors® both offer free continuing education courses to help members stay compliant.
